At Didacta Sicilia international education with Indire, ErasmusDays and Study in Sicily opportunities

On the occasion of Erasmus Days 2023the European initiative that celebrates the successes of the Program and which takes place on the same days as the Didacta Sicilia Fair, theErasmus+ INDIRE Agency organize three events open to the public. Thursday 12 October, from 11am to 1pm, the Erasmus+ INDIRE stand hosts the meeting “ErasmusDays: Erasmus citizenship experiences at school” where some Teacher Ambassadors will present good practices of eTwinning projects and Erasmus+ mobility/partnerships for schools. On Friday 13 October, from 3pm to 5pm, some teachers from Sicilian schools will talk about their exchange experiences with eTwinning and Erasmus+ mobility in the meeting “Ideas and food for thought for designing and implementing a good Erasmus/eTwinning project”. Finally, on October 14th from 10 to 11 am, in the USR Sicilia stand, the counter will be set up “Talk to an Erasmus+ School Ambassador”a moment of orientation aimed at teachers and newcomerwho will be able to meet and interact directly with a group of Erasmus+ School Ambassadors present in Sicily.

Also within the Sicilian edition of FIERA DIDACTA ITALIA it will be possible to learn about the project Study in Sicily. The project of Sicilian Region, managed by INDIRE as an intermediate body, is dedicated to Mediterranean students. The aim of the initiative is to increase collaboration between Sicily and the Mediterranean countries, and allow students from these countries to study internationally in Sicilian higher education institutions. The exhibition space will host one stand dedicated to Study in Sicily, where various higher education institutions in the region will have the opportunity to discuss and create new exchanges and alliances with the delegations of the Study in Sicily target countries. Among the institutes present also the universities of Palermo, Catania, Kore di Enna and Messina, UNIMED – Union of Mediterranean Universities, the ITS Albatros and Steve Jobs, the Arces, the Abadir Academy of Design and Visual Communication, the of the Fine Arts of Palermo and the Sicilian Conservatories “Scarlatti”, “Bellini” and “Scontrino”.

During the days of the Fair, representatives from Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria will visit the Sicilian Region and Didacta Italia in particular, to make agreements and start further international paths with local partners. With this appointment, Study in Sicily intends to increase the opportunities for inclusion and participation for students from the Mediterranean area, with the valorization of Sicilian excellence at its core.
