Violence, threats and insult to a public official: these are the crimes for which a 22-year-old from Reggio was reported by the Local Police. The young man, co-owner of a public business, railed against a Local Police patrol that was carrying out its activity in the Santa Caterina district. According to initial investigations, the individual would have demanded, in a less than polite manner and by addressing public officials in a scurrilous manner, that no parking fine should be given to a vehicle which was not parked, and which belonged to a person unrelated to him.

At first he also objected to the declination of personal details which occurred only after the arrival of another supporting patrol. After attempting to hinder the activities of public officials, the subject was fully identified and invited to appear at the Macheda-Marino barracks.

Once the formalities had been completed, the young man was reported to the judicial authorities. The Corps Commander, Col. Zucco, after expressing his unconditional solidarity with the outraged staff, declared that these episodes will certainly not slow down the activity of the Local Police who will continue, with renewed vigor, in the fight against every pocket of illegality and degradation in the municipal territory.
