Annunziato Nucera, the 31-year-old boyfriend of Sara Genovese, the young woman from Pellaro Reggio Calabria accused of double infanticide, made use of the right not to respond. Summoned by the public prosecutor Chiara Greco, Annunziato Nucera, assisted by his trusted lawyers, Sergio Laganà, Giovanni Tavilla and Giuseppe Zampaglione, chose to remain silent: he is under investigation at large and is charged with aiding and abetting for having helped Sara Genovese “to elude the ongoing investigations; in particular, when he was asked to add information from the Flying Squad personnel, he denied being aware that Sara Genovese was pregnant, while in fact he was aware of this circumstance as early as November 2023”.
Lawyer Laganà commented on the defense strategy, recalling how “Nucera collaborated extensively in the initial phase of the investigations by undergoing a molecular swab to ascertain paternity and handing over his mobile phone for investigative purposes”.
