Night of fire in Piazza Mercato and near the Treated Parking of Sant’Andrea. Around midnight, between Thursday and Friday, a small group of young people gave birth to a sort of unauthorized pyrotechnic show: some fireworks have been shot in the air close to the houses, it seems to “celebrate” the birthday of one of them. Moments of apprehension have been lived by the residents, who have long complained about cackles, noises and speed races between microcars guided by teenagers, especially during the weekend. Citizens have again reported to all law enforcement agencies an unsustainable situation. Piazza Mercato and surroundings also propose sadly to the limelight, like Piazza Alfano, as “francs” territories, in which young Italians and foreigners without distinction break the law. Unfortunately, the desire for aggregation and sharing is too often on the arm with irresponsible, sometimes dangerous conduct.
