Reggina transformed the most difficult match of recent times into its ninth consecutive victory. It was decided by Captain Barillà who, upon returning from injury, scored a decisive penalty with time almost up. Scognamiglio’s handball in the area was clear on the development of a corner which generated the decisive episode to defeat an excellent Gelbison.

Amaranto rewarded for a careful match, in which they did not shine but used their heads in managing a challenge in which the absences of Ragusa and Di Grazia had an impact. Reggina thus continues their comeback in the standings: they are now second, -2 from the top occupied by Igea Virtus and on par with Savoia (next Sunday there will be a direct clash at the Granillo).
