Beach Soccer World Cup: Captain Zurlo’s Italy beaten 6-4 in the final by Brazil

The great protagonist of the final at the ‘Dubai Design District Stadium’ was the n. 9 of Brazil Rodrigo, author of a hat-trick. The other Seleçao goals were by Bruno Xavier and Brendo, and an own goal by Genovali. Genovali himself scored two of Italy’s four goals (Fazzini scored the other two).
For the Italian beach soccer team, captained by Emanuele Zurlo from Catanzaro (decisive in the match against Belarus which took the Azzurri to the final), it was the third defeat in as many world finals played: two against Brazil (2008 and today), one with Portugal (2019).
