The 41-year-old from Catania stopped by the police last Sunday for having attacked and beaten her ex-partner in Giardini Naxos, beating her with kicks and punches, remains in prison. The woman, once left alone in the house, managed to ask for help from a friend who then raised the alarm, leading to the intervention of the police and the ambulance which rescued the unfortunate woman, transporting her in serious condition to the Taormina hospital where she was admitted.

A few hours later the man was tracked down and arrested as part of the investigation launched by the Carabinieri of the Taormina Company and coordinated by the Messina Prosecutor’s Office directed by Antonio D’Amato. In addition to the attempted femicide, he was also charged with the crimes of kidnapping, mistreatment, persecutory acts and unauthorized access to the computer system.

An escalation of violence which then resulted in the episode which occurred on the night between 21 and 22 February in the woman’s home when she was brutally attacked by her ex and forced to stay in the house for a few hours until he left, leaving her bleeding with fractures and bruises.
A few weeks ago the woman had decided to definitively end her romantic relationship with the man. A stormy relationship, characterized by jealousy that had caused her several problems: he would have prevented her from going out with her friends, deleting her from social media.
