An imposing control of the territory was ordered by the Quaestor of the Province of Crotone, Renato Panvinoin the municipalities of Cirò and Cirò Marina. The action, which involved numerous departments of the State Police – including mobile team, anti -crime, Digos, railway police, road and immigration office – led to significant results in terms of prevention and repression of crimes, with particular attention to drug dealing, predatory crime and respect for restrictive measures by subjects prejudiced.
50 thousand euros seized in gold and silver: a trader denounced
The most striking fact concerns a check carried out by the administrative police at a jewelry and gold buying activity. The owner, Sa, was reported to the judicial authority for abusive exercise of the profession: it was not in fact enrolled in the register of operators bought gold managed by the Oam. The agents proceeded with the seizure of 39 objects between gold and silver, including 2 ingots and different jewelry of the total weight of 779.64 grams, for a declared value of 50,000 euros, together with equipment and documentation attributable to the sale of the precious. The woman was also sanctioned for carrying out the activity in an unauthorized venue, with a license referring to another seat never formally communicated to the police headquarters. An immediate termination of the activity will be issued shortly. Further reports were sent to the Ministry of Economy for violations of anti -money laundering rules, including non -identification of customers and use of cash for sums over 500 euros.
Arrested for detention of weapons
The mobile team carried out an imprisonment order issued by the Public Prosecutor of Catanzaro against DS, held responsible for the crime of detention of weapons. The man was conducted at the Crotone district house.
The numbers of the operation
During the extraordinary control service: 214 people were identified, including 62 with police records. 17 checks were carried out to subjects prejudiced under house arrest or subjected to special surveillance.
