Murder in Bovalino, a town in Locride. The victim is a fifty-year-old, Giancarlo Polifroni, with a drug record. Polifroni was currently under house arrest after spending time in prison.
The Carabinieri of the Locri Company are investigating the murder. According to what has been learned, unidentified people allegedly fired several gun shots at Polifroni from close range in front of his home, in the “Ficarelle” area, after inviting him to come out. At the moment it is not known whether the victim knew his killers and met them without becoming suspicious, thus falling into a trap.
The death of the fifty-year-old, who was shot in various parts of his body, was instantaneous. One of the hypotheses that the police are following, without however excluding others, is that the motive for the murder is to be linked to a revenge developed in the circles of drug traffickers.
