The stand of the Calabria Region set up within the prestigious Turin event welcomed with lively enthusiasm the three proposals presented by Edizioni Beroe.
The vice president of the Calabria Region, Giusi Princi expressed his appreciation for the innovative Smartbook “Vibonese Experiences”, a series that debuted with the first volume that recounts the archaeological wonders of Vibo Valentia between myths and legends. The series was proposed by the councilor for culture and tourism Giusi Fanelli that involved the cultural heritage operator Claudia Maria De Masi and the publisher Renato Costa.
It is defined as a Smartbook because inside there is a QR-Code which, when activated, allows you to listen to some stories from the mythological heritage of Vibo. The publication of this volume is an integration of the “Biblio-Smart” project financed by the Calabria Region. The project also includes the audiobooks “Variabili non considetrate” and “A Volo d'Angelo” which are part of a collection for children and adults including around 20 titles made available for the Municipal Library. The presentation of the audiobooks saw a twinning between Vibo Valentia and Turin with the involvement of the director of Radio Italia Uno Piemonte Simona Sorbara and the curator and editorial consultant Loredana Cella. For the realization of the “Biblio-Smart” project, the Vibo publisher opted for a local production of audibooks involving local operators such as the voices of Romina Candela, Pamela Bruno and Giuseppe Ingoglia. It was an opportunity to demonstrate that culture, by intercepting calls for tenders and community projects, can also produce jobs, also offering young people the opportunity to make their skills gained through study and sacrifice available to their land.
