Militello in Val di Catania is the most beautiful village in Italy of 2025. Located in the Etna province, with its 6600 inhabitants it is 45 km from the provincial capital and 38 km from Caltagirone. Sicily, therefore, triumphs in the Borgo dei Borgi review aired tonight on Raitre. Militello in Val di Catania, however, is the country where Pippo Baudo was born famous conductor of the Sanremo Festival (to which one of the main streets of the country is dedicated).

In its historic center, 1600 inhabitants live. It was presented by the dancer Giusy Garrasi and by the student Niccolò Vaccaro between history, nature and traditions. 21 asked them and is part of the UNESCO heritage of the Val di Noto between baroque influences and beyond. There is also an all -female church like the Church of the Madonna della Catena. And then the monastery of San Benedetto. But then also the typical products such as the excited militellese.

Calabria at the foot of the podium: Aieta in fourth place

In fourth place Calabria (first in 2021 with Tropea) with Aieta, the peak and characteristic center of the Upper Tyrrhenian Cosentino in the province of Cosenza. Among others, to present the characteristics of the village in the program aired on Raitre was the young student Rebecca Maiorana. Aieta famous for her churches (above all the matrix church of Santa Maria della Visitation) and for Palazzo Spinelli.
