Borgo dei Borghi 2026. San Nicola Arcella, an enchanting tourist and cultural destination in the upper Tyrrhenian Cosentino, closed the event broadcast on Easter evening on Rai3 in fifth place. A flattering result which saw the two young tour operators as protagonists in explaining the peculiarities between the sea and the historic centre: Francesco Dattoli and Chiara Tarantino.

The other villages in the competition

The villages competing are: Arenzano (Liguria), Baselga di Pinè (Trentino), Battaglia Terme (Veneto), Canossa (Emilia Romagna), Castellaro Lagusello (Lombardy), Chatillon (Valle d’Aosta), Cingoli (Marche), Guardialfiera (Molise), Lucignano (Tuscany), Margherita di Savoia (Puglia), Nemi (Lazio), Passignano sul Trasimeno (Umbria), Realmonte (Sicily), Sadali (Sardinia), San Fele (Basilicata), Spilimbergo (Friuli Venezia Giulia), Villalago (Abruzzo), Villar San Costanzo (Piedmont), Zungoli (Campania).

Three exceptional jurors are Camila Raznovich’s traveling companions. Tiziana D’Angelo, archaeologist and director of the Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia, went to discover a territory in which the past resurfaces in all its grandeur, among ancient vestiges and millenary tales. With Fabio Toncelli, director, explorer and “landscape hunter” of “Kilimangiaro”, we reached the evocative scenery of the Lucanian Dolomites, between Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa, to tell the story of an area made up of dizzying panoramas, villages suspended in time and traditions that intertwine with the most authentic nature. The art historian and popularizer Jacopo Veneziani, however, went to discover the more artistic and cultural side of Altamura, bringing out a history that continues to live in its streets and monuments.
