The pop star was stopped by California Highway Patrol officers on Wednesday evening and taken into custody by the Ventura County sheriff. However, the state of detention did not last long: Spears was released shortly after.
The news of the arrest comes after a recent legal victory for Britney, namely the permanent restraining order against a Louisiana man who suddenly showed up outside her home in Los Angeles after publishing “disturbing posts on social media”. The 51-year-old had been persecuting the online post since 2013: already in 2025 he was arrested for trespassing for having entered her property.
