“We discussed many things that concern Calabria: I found in President Meloni an absolutely attentive interlocutor”. This was stated by the President of the Calabria Region Roberto Occhiutodeputy national secretary of Forza Italia, the day after the meeting he had yesterday morning with the Prime Minister Georgia Meloni at Palazzo Chigi.
«We talked about health, water, some disputes that concern Calabria – Occhiuto added answering journalists’ questions on the sidelines of an initiative at the regional citadel of Catanzaro – and I thanked President Meloni because just a few days ago he was the tender notice that starts the works on the state road 106 in the section that goes from Catanzaro to Crotone has been published».
«I thanked her – the Calabrian governor continued – also because just a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to have a law approved that we were asking for and that gives us the opportunity to not charge air carriers the passenger tax. And this will determine a turning point in air traffic to Calabria. However, there are many other dossiers, starting with healthcare, on which I have asked for further commitment from the Government”.
“The meeting with President Meloni also served as an opportunity to discuss the issue of autonomy,” Occhiuto concluded, “but these are issues related to the relationships within the government between the different political forces. I know there will be a summit tomorrow and I think this will also be discussed.”
