Immediately a council made up of 7 councillors, then in a few months the expansion to 9 members. The re-elected president Roberto Occhiuto reasons on a scheme that essentially involves two steps. And if the intention always remains to ensure representation in the Executive for all the parties present in the Council, the mandatory step to give shape to the project is the reform of the Statute. Yes, because to implement the national legislation which allows the Regions with a population between 1 and 2 million – as is the case of Calabria – to have up to 9 councillors, there is a need to work on the Magna Carta.
