The spotlight is on the 2024 consolidated budget. The accounting document summarizing the financial, patrimonial and economic situation of the Region will arrive at the Regional Council next Thursday. «The wind has changed», they assure from the parts of the Citadel. And to support the expression, it is pointed out that the organization has approved the 2024 financial statement, recording a surplus of approximately 52.8 million euros. A figure certified by the Court of Auditors and which represents a positive turning point. Part of these funds – just under 18 million – were diverted to healthcare also in view of the imminent exit from the commissioner regime. Resources made available to the Calabrian healthcare system and useful – we hope – to start activities aimed at raising the level of care for Calabrians. The situation relating to the many investee companies in the Region is also described in the Consolidated Statement that the Chamber of Palazzo Campanella will have to examine and possibly validate. Their management, over the last decades, has been characterized more by shadows than by lights. There are those who are ready to bet that something has changed on this front too. Achieving full accounting control of the galaxy of sub-regional bodies has always been an objective of the reconfirmed budget councilor, Marcello Minenna, with the delegation also to the investee companies.
