The “ball” is now in Occhiuto’s hands: the expansion of the council from seven to nine councilors becomes only a question of time and above all of political choices. Appointments are technically possible at any time, once the final step has been completed with the publication in the Official Bulletin of the Region – which took place on Friday – of the statutory amendment definitively voted last Tuesday by the Council.

The crossroads at the Citadel

From a political point of view, the governor’s decisions are highly anticipated. The two new positions on the council should fall to the League and Noi Moderati, with the latter party waiting for a reward from the day after the elections. However, two positions as undersecretary also come into play, another innovation introduced by the “tweaking” of the Statute.
