On Friday 3 July, at 11.30 am, the vice president and councilor for public works of the Calabria Region, Filippo Mancuso, summoned the local administrators to the regional Citadel to illustrate the regional plan of micro-infrastructural interventions for local communities (Primi). The initiative was born from the need to respond to the reconnaissance started last summer and at the same time to convey important sums to the area necessary to deal with ordinary needs and those arising due to the extreme weather conditions of Cyclone Harry and following ones. The vice president asked his offices to make the utmost effort to implement the Plan in a very short time and declares himself very satisfied with the result “which has allowed the smaller municipalities to make an investment that combines well in this period with the tourist reception of our Region, also because it has committed to guaranteeing a sufficient allocation to embrace the entire range of municipalities that have expressed the need to intervene on the roads to allow decent access and usability of the spaces in their municipalities. This – finally highlighted the vice president Mancuso – represents the first of other significant initiatives of the Occhiuto Administration which will be followed in the next year both in terms of urban redevelopment and enhancement of the waterfronts to allow the territories an adequate modernization of local infrastructures”.
