The intervention, included in the 2023-2027 programming, provides for economic support calculated for UBA (unit of adult cattle), granted to livestock companies which, on a voluntary basis, are committed to the conservation of local animal genetic resources. This commitment actively contributes to the contrast of the depletion of animal biodiversity, while compensating the breeders for the major costs incurred and the lower revenues deriving from the breeding of less productive breeds from a commercial point of view, but of high ecological value.
