For ” ‘U Dutturicchiu”born Giuseppe Calabrò, 76 year old originally from San Luca, the prison doors will continue to remain closed. In fact, the judges of the TDL of Milan did not accept the request for annulment of the restrictive measure issued by the Court of Assizes of Como, which had reiterated that issued by the Court of Milan the day after his arrest. A tight process, which began on 4 February, when the Court of Assizes of Como sentenced him to life imprisonment, Calabrò considering him one of the material authors of the kidnapping of the 18-year-old Como native Cristina Mazzotti, which took place in Eupilio on the evening of 30 June 1975, and tragically ended with the death of the young woman. The reopening of the investigation to identify the members of the commando who had blocked the car and taken the girl, which took place after almost 50 years thanks above all to a fingerprint found on a car, ended with the guilty plea of Calabrò (and another from Reggio, Demetrio Latella), who was 26 years old at the time.
