Commander Giuseppe Pirrò, who has reached the milestone of retirement, was greeted yesterday by the island community, the city administration and the local police force that he led for 26 years. Thanks for his work was expressed by the mayor, Maria Grazia Vittimberga, in the short ceremony in front of the Town Hall. “Giuseppe Pirrò – declared the first citizen – was not only a Commander, but a guide for the Local Police Corps and an example for all of us. Our best wishes go to him for a peaceful retirement full of personal satisfaction, with the certainty that he will always remain part of the great family of Isola di Capo Rizzuto”.
In the interventions it was underlined that in almost three decades, Pirrò has represented a point of reference for the community, always operating with dedication, professionalism and a sense of duty. His long career at the service of the territory has contributed to guaranteeing order, security and legality, for this reason the Administration expresses the deepest gratitude for the work carried out in recent years and for the constant commitment shown in every situation, even the most difficult .
