This afternoon at around 4.35pm a call to the fire brigade operations room from 118 reported a road accident on the 106 state road inthe crossroads that leads from Strongoli to Rocca di NetoThe collision occurred tbetween an articulated lorry and a passenger car. Only one person was seriously injured, the driver of the car, who was transferred by helicopter to the hospital in Catanzaro.
The intervention of the fire brigade team from the Cirò Marina detachment who arrived on site with two vehicles, was useful for securing the vehicles and the surrounding area. During the rescue operations, state road 106 was closed to traffic. The traffic police were on site as far as they were concerned and Anasche diverted traffic onto the local network.
