The Municipal Council, upon proposal of the Mayor Giovanni Papasso, assisted by the Secretary General Angelo De Marcoawarded the Civic Merit to GReta Martucci and Francesco Rodilosso. Both citizens of Cassano, they have always been committed to carrying the name of the city.
Greta Martucci is a young professional motivated to grow as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. Equipped with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team spirit and organizational skills, oriented towards achieving objectives.
After her training, which took place mainly between the Dance Arts Faculty 2015 in Rome and the Balletto di Toscana in Florence, she was a dancer at the CIE ECO Emilio Calcagno from 2016 to 2023 working in France on the production of the show “Catania Catania” at the Grrranit Scéne National de Belfort and the Théatre Molière, Sète (2022-2023) and at the Théatres De L’Archipel, Espaces des Arts and at the Festival “Le Temps d’Aimer”, Biarritz (2016-2017). Among the many experiences he includes in his CV, he has danced in theaters in Italy, Saudi Arabia, France, China, Portugal, and also deals with choreography, television and teaching.
Francesco Rodilosso, instead, he is co-founder and producer for Create Danza and is part of the management of the Ramificazioni festival.
He studied with internationally renowned masters such as Bruno Verzino, Tuccio Rigano, Giuliano Peparini, Michele Ferraro, Luciano Cannito, Luigi Grosso, Eugenio Buratti and others.
Winner of numerous scholarships including caraBdanza company (Madrid), Teatro dell’Opera (Rome), he boasts mentions and articles, among others, in “La Stampa” and “Vanity Fair”.
Awarded in 2019 as a Calabrian talent at the San Francesco da Tessano award, he received audiences from Carla Fracci and Beppe Menegatti. His image has appeared in national and international newspapers, such as: Photo Vogue, L’Oeil de la Photographie, Panorama, Sky Arte HD, The Artbo, Arte Magazine, Shakespeare Magazine, Rai Cultura and others, with the following productions of the master Ottavio Marino:
Romeo & Juliet, Francesco di Paola and The Dancer.
“Precisely in these days – he commented – Greta and Francesco staged the show “Opera Temptations – Puccini vs Verdi” in our theater with music by Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini during which many Calabrian talents performed who they moved and excited the audience present who packed our municipal theater in every seat. Among these – the Mayor insisted – two young people from Cassano stand out: Greta Martucci and Francesco Rodilosso who thrilled the audience and made the municipal administration proud. Assigning them the merit is a necessary act because they carry the name of Cassano into existence and this is the Cassano that we must continue to promote and that we must get people talking about”.
