Catanzaro, against Pescara with Cisse still in doubt

To start against Pescara or not? A small doubt cannot help but arise when thinking about Alphadjo Cisse. In theory there really wouldn’t be any discussion: the striker is Catanzaro’s top scorer with 5 goals, so far he has been among the best and has proved to be the biggest surprise of the first third of the season. Framing it in this way it would make no sense to give it up even if he will only return to the city on Wednesday evening, after ten days with the Under 21 national team, the precious addition of a high-level debut in blue and a probable encore, tomorrow afternoon, in the match in Montenegro. However, the match against the Abruzzo team is scheduled for Friday, so the nineteen-year-old will only attend Thursday afternoon’s finishing session with the team, the last work session before the advance which will mark the resumption of the Serie B tournament.
For these reasons it is logical that Alberto Aquilani is asking himself a question: start him from the start or start him from the bench? Among the pros for Cisse there is the much he has done in the championship, from a point of view that partly embraces the achievements: some he simply invented with his superior class, such as the free kick against Reggiana and the right-footed shot against Mantova. But considering only the context of finishing is reductive: Cisse has often been fundamental in helping the team move up, creating superiority and opportunities, breaking the opposing lines. The experience he is gaining with the Azzurri, the energy that such a prestigious context can give him, represent another factor that can work in his favour.
