The Promocultura Association, chaired by the Maestro Tommaso RotellA, announces the return of the musical event “Mille and … a note in Gi.ro. with the band”, now in its fourth edition.

Three high quality concerts will take place in Catanzaro from 1 to 3 May, thanks to the support of the Calabria Region aimed at enhancing the regional cultural heritage, through the implementation of cultural events, and the support of other local institutions.

A project created to enhance the rich Calabrian cultural heritage, and which offers a unique opportunity to involve the community in a context of artistic depth, thanks to the execution of band concerts that celebrate local talents.

The cultural events will be held in three emblematic locations of the city, chosen for their cultural value: Villa Trieste (1 May, 10:30 am), Pepe-Bettoja barracks (2 May, 10:00 am, on the occasion of the 164th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Army) and Mediterranean biodiversity park (3 May, 10:30 am).

The musical program, directed by the Maestro Eliseo Castrignanò and supported by the collaboration of the illustrious master Mauro Ferrandoformerly the first clarinet of the orchestra of the Philharmonic of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, promises a journey through different musical genres, from the symphonic to work, to the music of the Great War. It will be the perfect opportunity to discover and rediscover the Calabrian musical tradition through the performance of the “Giuseppe Rossi” musical band, which boasts an organic of about 25 talented local musicians between teachers and young students of the conservatives.

This fourth edition is characterized by having created a combination of art and culture, since the places where the concerts will take place also host museums, thus offering a unique experience that combines music with artistic beauty. Participants will not only be able to enjoy musical performances but also to explore cultural heritage of great value, making each event an opportunity to immerse themselves in an environment full of visual and sound stimuli. The choice to integrate concerts within significant places from an artistic and cultural point of view represents an added value of this initiative. The places themselves, full of stories, come alive and become protagonists, suggesting connections between eras, styles and art forms. Not only a moment of entertainment but an opportunity to strengthen the link between music and community, making culture an asset shared and accessible to everyone. The beauty of art and music, through aggregation and collective celebration, can bring to light the vitality of a city and its people, creating spaces in which everyone can feel at home.
