A center forward and two attacking midfielders behind him or a striker together with Iemmello free to do what he wants with an attacking midfielder at his side? Even if he can easily alternate between both solutions, or choose additional ones, so far Alberto Aquilani has searched for which might be the best without finding an answer.
In the last two matches, as in the previous away match in Reggio Emilia, the captain was deployed as a more advanced reference: it is true that Iemmello did not score on any of the three occasions, but he had the chance (with Samp, face to face with Ghidotti) and provided an assist (in Monza for Cisse), so he added something while reiterating the impression – note – that he always prefers to be freed from certain tasks, moving where he they bring instinct and tactical intelligence. After all, even in the past he guaranteed the best when there were players like La Mantia and Ambrosino in front, more inclined to represent a fixed point against his teammates (and opposing defenders). Perhaps it is no coincidence that Iemmello scored his two goals of the season when a defensive partner (Pittarello) was on the pitch.
