The regional group of the Democratic Party led by Domenico Bevacqua filed a bill for the establishment of the “Bosco Comuni – Pineta di Son”. The act aims to enhance and protect the largest green area of the city, recognizing its high environmental, landscape, naturalistic and social value.
The reserve extends over about 700 hectares in the neighborhood are, between the Rijeka River and the provincial road, including the botanical garden “Li Comuni” and a vast territory classified as an urban park of supra -municipal interest and area for environmental protection. A green lung that, in addition to keeping a biodiversity heritage, represents an opportunity for sustainable development for the city and the metropolitan area.
