The Carlino d’Argento Award returns again this year in Catanzaro, celebrating the most illustrious Calabrian personalities and offering a precious opportunity to promote and enhance the territory. To discuss the organizational details of the seventh edition, the Commission appointed to identify the final list of awards in the various fields of “Culture”, “Visual Arts and Performing Arts”, “Youth Entrepreneurship”, “Social Commitment” to which the “Special Award” is added, met yesterday. The event will take place on December 13, 14 and 15 with the traditional final ceremony at the Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro.
The first moment of discussion was held in the council room of the Chamber of Commerce of Catanzaro-Crotone-Vibo Valentia, kindly granted by the will of the president Peter Falbo who participated via streaming connection. The work of the Commission, chaired by the architect Anna Russothe creator of the Award intervened, Yves Catanzarothe President of the Municipal Council of Catanzaro, Gianmichele Boscothe artistic director Domenico Garerithe former general director of the Politeama Foundation, Aldo Costathe national secretary of the Italian Federation of Popular Traditions, Frank Megnathe vice president and the secretary of the Premio Carlino d’Argento association, respectively Andrea Scarpino and Giulia Guerrieri.
The formula of the event is the consolidated one that combines the testimonies and success stories of exceptional Calabrians with moments of entertainment and entertainment, as well as with initiatives of social importance in the name of solidarity. The special awards that will be presented on the stage of the Politeama bear the signature of the maestro Antonio Affidato with an artistic reworking of the historic Catanzaro coin. There are many new features that will be revealed in the coming weeks: during the three days of activity, the Carlino d’Argento Award will embrace the entire community, involving the world of school, the institutional network and the associative fabric, for a program intended for all ages and to strengthen the bond with local history and identity.
