The signature counter that should have certified the simultaneous resignation of at least 17 city councilors remained at -2. A step that would have entailed the dissolution of the city assembly and the return to voting in the next round on May 24th and 25th. Theoretically there would still be time until next Tuesday, but the deadline of February 20th had been established by the signatory councilors themselves, to give the notary time to prepare the documents and have all the signatures.
The opposition groups had formalized their position for resignation: from Forza Italia to Azione, from the League to Fratelli d’Italia up to Noi Moderati, with councilors Luigi Levato, Francesco Assisi, Antonello Talerico, Alessandra Lobello, Sergio Costanzo, Francesco Passafaro, Francesco Scarpino; Gianni Parisi, Stefano Veraldi, Valerio Donato; Eugenio Riccio; Annachiara Verrengia, Emanuele Ciciarello; Lea Concolino. In recent days the availability of former dem Fabio Celia had also been added. But it wasn’t enough except to reach 15.
