“We announced at the beginning of last October that the equipped area in the area of the former district of Santa Maria would soon be usable again for all families. Today we can say that the promise has been kept and that the area has been finally returned to the residents of the neighborhood”. The city councilor stated this in a note Antonio Barberio.
“Benches and games for children, after years of abandonment, have allowed the park to live a second life, returning to being a point of reference for free time and aggregation. That area – continued Barberio – was and remains, for the Administration, a point of fundamental importance, the subject of a wide-ranging intervention, which saw the internal renovation works of the building, made usable also for the disabled, sees the light today and soon we will get involved on the security side with the lighting system, automatic gates and surveillance cameras”.
“So, one step at a time, as is normal, the Administration led by the mayor Nicola Fiorita continues to demonstrate the consideration in which the neighborhoods are held, with the desire to restore dignity to the common spaces and offer residents the possibility of returning to frequent them with the utmost serenity. Beyond the scope of the individual interventions, in fact – concluded Barberio – the vision of urban regeneration and social inclusion towards which this Administration is oriented remains confirmed, in all sectors, to restore vitality and functions to each neighborhood and make the city increasingly family-friendly.
