The economic-financial situation of the Municipality returns to the center of the political debate. In fact, the 2025 financial statement will arrive in the Chamber at the beginning of next week. The document photographs the management of the administration led by Mayor Nicola Fiorita, which presents itself to the City Council with a positive administrative result, equal to over 117.6 million euros, and a deficit reduced to 43 million: the prospect indicated by the mayor, of closing 2026 at 38 million, therefore appears within reach.
But in times of difficulty for local authorities, between cuts in state transfers, general price increases and citizens with increasingly lighter wallets, Palazzo De Nobili also finds itself having to do the math “well”. This also emerges from the report of the board of auditors, which expresses a positive opinion on the report, certifies compliance with the various balances and obligations but does not fail to indicate some critical issues.
