The “Rosario Fasano” social center in via Scopelliti, returned to the city, reopened its doors, thanks to the positive example of partnership between the Municipality of Catanzaro and the Arci Calabria which has allowed, within three months, to carry out the restoration works necessary to guarantee a safe availability of the premises. The mayor participated in the cutting of the ribbon Nicola Fiorita and the president of Arci Calabria, Giuseppe Apostolitesbefore a participatory ceremony that started the new life of the structure.

The space will, in fact, be animated by cultural, training and recreational activities intended for all ages, with the active involvement of young people and particular attention to disability and the most fragile bands. The councilor for welfare, Nunzio Belcarowanted to emphasize that “this inauguration is added to those already carried out, during the first two and a half years of administration, with the reopening of the social centers of Pontepiccolo, Corvo, Gagliano and via Fontana Vecchia. An investment that responds to a precise political and strategic choice and the vision of a city that, in the post Covid era, needs to find the places intended for encounter and sociality in all neighborhoods “.
