A fedex cargo plane last Saturday caught fire after hitting a bird shortly after take -off from Newark, New Jersey, in the umpteenth accident touched in the American skies in recent weeks.
No injuries were reported on board and the plane managed to make an emergency landing in the same airport. According to reports from the Associated Press, the Federal Aviation Administration explained that the plane, directed to Indianapolis, returned to the airport around 8 local time and that air traffic was briefly suspended as a precaution but the operations resumed shortly after.
