The judge for the preliminary investigations of the Court of Catanzaro ordered the plea bargain against a university professor of the University “Magna Graecia“By Catanzaro, as well as the medical director of the Aou” Renato Dulbecco “, involved in the”Tailoring”. The sentence foresees 2 years of imprisonment with suspended sentence.
The measure also includes the confiscation of 215,095.07 eurosthe sum already seized on 3 July 2024, considered the price of some of the contested crimes. The penalty was applied with the consent of the public prosecutor’s office.
The crimes for which the plea bargain proceeded: disturbed freedom of enchantments, corruption, aggravated fraud against the state, falsehood of the public official in public documents, revelation and use of office secrets and issuing invoices for non -existent operations.
The judicial affair originates from a complex investigation of the Guardia di Finanzadelegated by the Public Prosecutor of Catanzaro. The activities, conducted by the economic-financial police unit, fit into a wider context of contrast to fraud in the health sector and the bad management of public resources.
