To allow interventions of renovation of the flooring along the 109 bis state road “of the small Sila”in correspondence with the branch for Lamezia Terme, will be Traffic limitations in the municipal area of Catanzaro activated.
Closures provided
In detail, from 9:00 pm on Friday 23 May until 2:00 on Saturday 24 May, the traffic of the SS 109 bis from 18.350 to km 19,400 and of the route viale De Filippis will be arranged.
The provision will also involve the inhibition of the passage of vehicles in the following points:
Entrance to via Lombardi (municipal road);
Underpass in Sant’Antonio, at 17,000 km in the direction of Lamezia Terme (also municipal).
Alternative paths
For the management of traffic, a deviation will be active in correspondence with the Benny Hotel roundabout, with differentiated routes depending on the type of vehicle:
The vehicles up to 3.5 tons will be diverted along the Bisantis viaduct and then on via Carlo V or in the direction of the roundabout on the Museum;
Heavy traffic greater than 3.5 tons will instead be diverted to the west ring road in the north direction, up to the roundabout in Pontegrande (12,980 km of the SS 109 bis), and then continue on the east ring road of Catanzaro.
Indications for residents
For the residents of via Lombardi and viale De Filippis directed towards Lamezia Terme, the airport or the A2 motorway in the Mediterranean, an inversion will be necessary at the junction of the new Legion of the Carabinieri (curvone Telespazio) and then enter the alternative routes described above.
During the intervention, however, the transit on via Lombardi and viale De Filippis for residents and rescue vehicles will be guaranteed.
