Serie B has ordered “the postponement of play-out competitions” between Salernitana and Frosinone “Scheduled for 19 and 26 May 2025”. The decision comes “considering the need to protect the fair competition and safeguard the regularity of the championship” in relation to the “conclusion of the investigations sent to the LNPB by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office today”.
It is the consequence of an earthquake that upsets Serie B. In fact, one is coming penalty (probably 4 points) for Bresciawhich will rewrite the final classification and the verdicts on the bottom of the ranking. With -4 Brescia becomes the third last and relegated to Serie C with Cittadella and Cosenza, while Frosinone, Salernitana and Sampdoria gain a position with this outcome: Frosinone Salvo, Salerni at the playout with the most favorable placement, and Sampdoria taken from C for the hair and admitted to the playoff salvation. Obviously tomorrow’s race between Salernitana and Frosinone is postponed and then it will be canceled (the Lega B has made it official to protect the championship): as soon as the sentence will be definitive, the new playout between Sampdoria and Salernitana will be reprogrammed, with return this time to Arechi.
