Carabinieri checks continue on compliance with the safety regulations at work. In a joint intervention of the Compagnia di Sant’Agata di Militello and the Inspectorate of the Labor of Messina, a construction site was inspected in the municipality of San Marco d’Alunzio. During access, the military found serious irregularities: The construction site was not adequately fenced, making access to unauthorized people possible, and suitable fire -fighting devices were absent. At the end of the checks, the owner of the company was reported to the judicial authority and he was imposed on penalties and both bitter for a total of more than 10,000 euros. The operation is part of a larger control campaign promoted by the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Messina to counter violations in the construction sector and guarantee the protection of workers. The checks will continue in the coming months throughout the provincial territory.
