Irony mixed with sentimental depth and poetry, ranging between various musical genres, the stylistic signature of Francesco Gabbani, in concert this evening in Piazza Duomo for the Municipality’s program “The magical events of Christmas in Messina”.

Fresh from a year of great successes and from the experience of judging the latest edition of “X-Factor”, the singer-songwriter from Massa Carrara, welcomed by an ovation from the public, responds with his dazzling smile. Opening with a medley of “Magellano”, from the 2017 album of the same name, and “La rete” (2022). Followed by “Pachyderms and parrots” and “Eternally now”. Also in the lineup are the songs from the latest album “Dalla tua parte”, containing the Sanremo song “Viva la vita”, written with Pacifico and Davide Simonetta, and the singles “Vengo a fiduciarmi di te”, “Così come trova” and “Frutta malinconia”. Inevitable “Amen” and “Occidentali’s Karma”, the songs with which Gabbani won Sanremo respectively in 2016 among the New proposals and in 2017 among the Big ones. And, again, “Spazio tempo”, theme song of the Rai1 drama “A professor”, and “We just wanted to be happy”. Opening the evening, introduced by the journalist and host Giovanni Remigare, the Messina artists Maria Carola (Mariacarola Giardina), winner of the Mogol Battisti 2023 Festival, Manuel D’Angelo aka Astrariux, winner of the scholarship for Casa Sanremo Campus 2025, and Giuliana Triscari, Mia Martini Award 2025 and YoungMe Award at “The Stage”.
