Timely intervention by the Carabinieri of the Cinquefrondi station, who in the last few hours arrested four women caught in the act of committing the crime of aggravated theft inside a business specializing in household items. The operation was triggered following a report received by the operations center, which indicated the presence of suspicious people inside the store.
Having quickly arrived on site, the soldiers identified the four women as they were walking away from the shop at a rapid pace and with several hidden articles. The immediate search made it possible to find part of the stolen goods hidden under the clothing, cleverly hidden to evade checks. At the same time, further products that had been stolen shortly before were found inside a car parked in the square in front of the commercial activity, where the suspects had already loaded part of the goods with the intention of fleeing.
The four women were taken to the premises of the Carabinieri station and placed under house arrest until the validation hearing. Following the validation of the arrest, the Judicial Authority imposed on them the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the judicial police.
The episode confirms the constant vigilance and prompt reactivity of the Carabinieri in combating crimes against property, with particular attention to thefts in commercial establishments, a phenomenon that affects perceived safety and the local economy.
