“Our community celebration can wait.” This is how mayor Sergio Ferrari announced the postponement of the appointment in Piazza Diaz to celebrate his entry into Palazzo Campanella. “To celebrate – he explained – you need involvement and of course the right atmosphere. Unfortunately these days, all of this is missing in me and in our community! Thursday the tragic and premature funeral of a young childhood friend, Angelo Capoano, a 51 year old doctor, always available, cheerful, to whom I am linked by so many memories of my childhood and adolescence. Today the funeral of my young friend Sara Scilanga, an extraordinary woman, always smiling, jovial, of noble soul, which I saw growing up together with my niece and her friends! A community, ours, already tested and shocked by another tragic event that happened in Rome, for which however, we trust, with our prayers and with the help of God, in a positive epilogue, which will soon bring little Rocco home. The thanksgiving party, for my election to the Regional Council, can wait! All my friends involved in the organization will excuse me, but this is it my decision! It’s a time for closeness and condolences to the Capoano and Scilanga families! It’s time to pray for little Rocco.”
