During the monitoring of leaks on the water network, the AMAM detected a significant leak in the Piano Bagni area, in the Santa Margherita area.
To allow the necessary repair operations, it will be essential to temporarily stop pumping on the Fiumefreddo pipeline. Taking advantage of this interruption, the Company will also proceed with already scheduled interventions on other leaks along the same pipeline, thus optimizing work times. The operational teams are already working to ensure restoration as soon as possible.
The start of the water suspension will be today, starting from 12.00 and until the completion of the works and the subsequent filling of the network.
The areas most affected will be the central/northern area of the city; the northern coast and the hilly villages.
To meet the needs of users during the suspension period, AMAM has set up an additional refueling service with tankers, available starting today. The Company invites citizens to take the necessary precautions and thanks them for their collaboration and understanding during the work.
