Reggina beats Sancataldese. A clear statement from Trocini’s men who controlled the match from start to finish. The technical superiority of the amaranth team was reflected in a performance in which the hosts struck at the right time and then managed the entire match in the best possible way.
The two goals that decided the match bear the signature of Porcino. The midfielder, returning after several weeks, was decisive with two winning conclusions which came thanks to his insertions into the area rewarded by assists from Ndoye and Barillà.
Once again, Trocini’s intuition – now consolidated over time – to move the winger to the left midfield position is important, a role in which he can enhance his ability to insert himself. The player’s recovery, combined with that of other members of the squad who had been missing in recent weeks, have given the team a variety of solutions, unpredictability and the possibility of managing substitutions in the best possible way.
The match was never in question and it virtually ended at the end of the first half with the double Amaranth advantage. Reggina never faltered in the second half and this was another step forward compared to other matches in which they had suffered mocking comebacks.
Three points arrive for the Strait team which allow them to keep pace with leaders Siracusa, whose lead remains seven points. Also ahead are Sambiase (+3) and Scafatese (+1). The Amaranths have one game less than any other, but at this stage they could not have afforded a misstep.
