Fight against drugs. Without neighborhood. The exponential increase in drug consumption in the urban area of the Bruzio capital in recent years has led to the launch of an offensive by the police to dismantle the drug dealing areas, dismantle the pusher network active between Cosenza, Rende and Montalto, and destroy the supply channels.
Over the last 12 months, the Mobile and Police Police have dealt hard blows to the “stuff” merchants: the most recent coincides with the arrival – scheduled for today – of the new police commissioner, Antonio Borrelli. In fact, the police arrested a 35-year-old and seized 13 kilos of narcotics during a raid that began after days of stakeouts and checks. Antonio Garofalo, 36, from Cosenza, ended up in handcuffs after being found in possession of 11 kilograms of marijuana ready to be sold and one kilo and 700 grams of cocaine. The man hid the drugs in a rented house in the university area of Rende.
