Serious road accident in the late afternoon today along State Road 106, at the Cutro crossroads, where two vehicles were involved in a collision.
The alarm went off shortly after 6.30pm. Two teams of firefighters from the provincial command of Crotone intervened on site, engaged in rescue operations to extract the drivers from the sheets of the accidented vehicles.
One of the injured was transferred to an air ambulance
The two injured were entrusted to the 118 medical staff. One of the involved, considering the conditions considered more serious, was transported by air ambulance, while the other person was transferred by ambulance.
Traffic police officers and Anas personnel also intervened at the scene of the accident to carry out investigations and manage traffic.
Traffic temporarily blocked
Traffic along State Road 106 was temporarily blocked to allow rescue operations and the subsequent safety of the area affected by the accident.
