The drama was touched on the other night in Corigliano Rossano, where a young woman miraculously survived after her car went off the road and careened into space, flying several meters and ending up in a school courtyard. The daring accident occurred around two in the morning in via Aldo Moro in the historic center of Corigliano.
The girl, a 20-year-old local girl, was alone and driving the vehicle of which, for reasons still under investigation, she lost control. The car first hit the protective barrier and then careened onto the street below. At the moment one of the clues being followed as the cause of the car going off the road is a brake failure. As mentioned, the vehicle, after a flight of several meters, ended up in the courtyard of the “Toscano” middle school.
A terrible impact. The sheet metal of the car crumpled and risked becoming a steel tomb for the twenty-year-old who, however, remained alive. The roar caused by the accident shook the sleep of the residents who immediately alerted the emergency services. A team of firefighters from the Corigliano Rossano detachment was on site and worked with shears to extract the painful and frightened girl. The doctors at the Guido Compagna hospital gave her first aid. The twenty-year-old suffered polytrauma which affected her lower limbs, chest and face. In light of the overall picture of her condition, she was transferred to the Nicola Giannettasio hospital in Rossano where she is currently hospitalized and although the young woman has serious injuries, there is no fear for her life.
