The Vibo Valentia Prosecutor’s Office has requested the indictment of fifteen people accused, for various reasons, of criminal association, corruption and acts contrary to official duties. According to the prosecutor’s office, Nazzareno Bellissimo, 42 years old, from Vibo Valentia, would have been one of the alleged intermediaries and recipients of the proceeds to be allocated to public officials; According to the accusation, Giuseppe Pizzonia, 38 years old, from Vibo, had a liaison role in the phases of delivery of the money; Stefano Cuccione, 44 years old, from Jonadi, indicated as the recipient of the proceeds and as the intermediary with the beneficiaries of the practices; Fabio Schicchi, 56 years old, nurse working at Inail in Vibo, considered by investigators to be the material instructor of health practices; Giuseppe Tomaino, 63 years old, from Tropea, responsible for managing administrative procedures and liquidator of the same; Antonio Salvatore Pasqua, 61 years old, from Limbadi, doctor of a charity, held responsible for the attribution of health scores; Giuseppe Mercuri, forty-eight years old from Nicotera, in charge of administrative procedures; Salvatore Francesco Meddis, 71 years old, from Vibo, medical examiner director of Inail presumed responsible for the final health validation.
And then Francesco Scannadinari, 38 years old, from San Gregorio d’Ippona, Michele Cichello, 64 years old, from Filogaso, Vincenzo Mazzotta, 46 years old, from Monterosso Calabro and Francesco Monteleone, 40 years old, from Vibo investigated because they were considered beneficiaries of undue practices. Giuseppe D’Amico, 52 years old, from Vibo, on the other hand, is accused of having given money to facilitate the practices of his company. Finally, Nicola Antonio Monteleone, 45 years old, resident in Bologna and Angelo Sorrentino, 65 years old, from Stilo are under investigation.
The preliminary hearing has been set for December 11th. The panel includes, among others, lawyers Sergio Rotundo, Antonio Carmelo Galati, Sabatino Falduto, Nazzareno Rubino, Antonio Cosentino, Francesco Gambardella, Filippo Giunchedi, Giovanni Vecchio, Marcello Scarmato.
