After Friday’s demonstration, the city continues to await news from the corporate front. The square has made its voice heard forcefully and is waiting to understand what the club’s next moves will be in a particularly delicate moment. The hope is that of a sale of the club and therefore of a change of ownership capable of opening a new phase for Cosenza. A request that emerged decisively during the protest and which continues to fuel the debate in the city, where attention remains very high.
At the moment, however, the signals arriving do not seem encouraging. What matters above all is the deafening silence of the club, which so far has not recorded any official positions after the mobilization of the fans. However, the position of the mayor Franz Caruso is clear and he wanted to reiterate some thoughts already expressed on Friday «I wanted to be present at the procession because I believe it is the duty of a Mayor to stand by his community in the most significant moments of city life», he declared, underlining the civil value of the event. Caruso highlighted how the initiative went beyond a simple sporting protest: «The great popular participation confirmed that Cosenza is not just a football team, but an identity symbol that unites generations and represents the sense of belonging of an entire territory».
