Cosenza dreams of the feat of the year. Up front, Antonucci could work alongside Tutino

The draw in Modena-Spezia did not alleviate the disappointment of the rossoblù after the home defeat against Sampdoria on Friday evening. In fact, it may have made it worse. Cosenza slipped to -3 from eighth place, maintaining a 6-point margin from fifth-last position. Almost everything therefore remained unchanged. This is certainly encouraging from the perspective of minimally achieving salvation but leaves a hint of disappointment for what could have been.
Training doubts The good news for Fabio Caserta a few hours after the match against Parma was represented by the return of Manuel Marras to the group (Cimino, Viviani and Meroni worked on the sidelines). The Genoese winger is preparing for the complicated away match against “Tardini”. It will be up to the Melito Porto Salvo coach to decide whether to dust him off from the first minute after his absence in the last round or preserve him and use him during the match. Much will also depend on the indications that emerge from this morning’s finishing, just before leaving for Emilia.
The coach’s concerns should be limited mainly to the attack. There are various hypotheses. Against the yellow-blues, however, Francesco Forte could initially remain on the bench and come in to help out as the game progresses. The possible exclusion of the Roman footballer opens up various scenarios. Caserta, in support of Tutino, could draw three or four different men. One of the hypotheses involves Mirko Antonucci’s first start as a starter. The attacking midfielder entered with a great desire to perform against the Blucerchiati and showed progress compared to the few minutes in which he was seen on the pitch against Pisa. Another option, then, passes through a more conservative choice: the deployment of Idriz Voca. The Kosovar, surprisingly, gradually lost space in the starting lineup. The former Lucerna player has not appeared in the team’s pre-match photo since 26 December, the day he was used from the 1st minute against Como. Before this match, he had been given the last opportunity right from the start against the Parma team from Pecchia.
The choices available to Caserta, however, do not end here because in Parma Mazzocchi could also be seen again in a central position, as second striker. In this case, Canotto and Marras could occupy the top lanes. Both, however, can be undermined by Aldo Florenzi. The Sardinian could also be taken into consideration if the coach decides to focus on 4-3-3.
Immaculate The difficulties inherent in the match against the league leaders are also highlighted by the numbers. The Gialloblù have not yet lost in this championship in front of their supporters. The ducals have collected eight victories and five draws so far at the “Tardini”. No one managed to impose themselves on the Parma players’ pitch. Parma has the best home run among the 20 cadets, with 29 points.
Pre-sale This morning, starting from 10am, the pre-sale for Sunday afternoon’s match against Catanzaro goes live. The derby was chosen as “Red and Blue Day” and therefore season tickets will not be valid.
