They are similar to what once were the Districts, bodies founded on the direct relationship between the territories and the municipal administration, in the absence of which today the neighborhood committees have taken their place, foreseen by the Statute of Palazzo dei Bruzi and fully entering into their functions.
Numerous have already emerged in the capital, including the hamlets, and they do not fail to bring the various problems present in the districts to the attention of local institutions. From the Spirito Santo to Donnici, from Piazza Riforma to Via Panebianco, just to name a few, the neighborhood committees have recently also formed a coordination, ready to draw up, in these days, a joint document elaborated in seven points, as many as the issues addressed on Friday evening during a special meeting organized in the Town Hall.
