Final sentence. Antonio Intrieri, 62 years old, was arrested by the flying squad inside a pizzeria. The police, directed by deputy commissioner Gianni Albano, served him with a prison order relating to a sentence of four years and six months for bankruptcy crimes dating back to 2011. Intrieri, an entrepreneur, in May 2015 had ended up in the “Doomsday” investigation conducted by the Catanzaro district anti-mafia directorate against the “Rango-Zingari” clan. A powerful and feared clan in the urban area led by Maurizio Rango, sentenced to life imprisonment with a final sentence for the murder of Luca Bruni, murdered and then buried on the outskirts of Rende. The victim was the brother of the late boss Michele Bruni and, after having suffered a long period of imprisonment, he demanded respect and consideration which, however, Rango and the other leading members of the gang did not intend to grant him.
